Tpl Rasheed Adeolu OSINOWO, FNITP

TPL Rasheed Adeolu OSINOWO is the principal partner Osinowo and Associates, a Town Planning Consultancy Firm with a push for the use of technology to make the Town Planning service fordable and accessible to young entrepreneurs. He was born into the popular OSINOWO and LAWAL family at Ijeshatedo, Surulere Local Government Area of Lagos State. He started his early education at Imam Shuaib Primary School, Ijeshatedo and his secondary school at the famous Ansar-ud-Deen Grammar School, Randle Avenue, Surulere, Lagos State. He later proceeded to the great Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning, and later obtained his Master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the prestigious University of Lagos, Lagos, Nigeria. PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE He had his mandatory NYSC at Iseyin and later moved to Ibadan in Oyo State. He joined Tabosh Properties, a real estate firm which specializes in Project Management, Valuation, Negotiation and Problem-Solving for its clientele. He cut his teeth at the office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Presidency (OSAP) FCT in MDGs (now SDGs) as a Research Assistant in several states and Local Government Areas including: Lagos State (Alimosho, Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye, and Kosofe LGAs), Oyo State (Oyo-west and Oyo-East LGAs). Ogun State, Ado-Ekiti (Egan Alaaye, Ado, Irepidun/Ifelodun and Ekiti-West LGAs), Akwa Ibom (Oron LGA) and Niger State (Tegina Central, Tegina West, Gunna Central and Kundu West LGAs). Tpl. Osinowo had his first shot in professional practice at Sanni and Associates, a renowned Town planning firm in Lagos state as Associate Town planner, overseeing several projects and management of the office staff. With over a decade in professional practice and the urge for more contribution, he established Osinowo and Associates (OAA), a foremost Town planning firm in Lagos Nigeria. In his capacity as the CEO of OAA, he has supervised and produce several projects reports not limited to Physical Planning Technical Report (PPTR), PPARs, TIA, Land Use Planning and Analysis Report (LUPAR), Layouts, Participated in Action Area Planning, Advocacy planning and lots more. LEADERSHIP ROLES / SERVICE / AFFILIATIONS As a passionate and astute member of the institute since gaining Membership in 2012 registered Town Planner in 2013. He has served the institute both at State and National level in many capacities including Former State Chapter Chairman NITP Young Planners Forum (YPF), Pioneer National President NITP Young Planners Forum, Past Assistant General Secretary NITP Lagos State Chapter, Past Assistant National Secretary General Association of Town Planning Consultants of Nigeria (ATOPCON), Past Assistant Secretary, Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) Lagos State Chapter, Currently Secretary Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), Lagos State Chapter and the Immediate past General Secretary, NITP Lagos State Chapter and in recent time he is a member of Nigeria Environmental Society of Nigeria. Tpl Osinowo is passionate about transforming THE CHAPTER and the Institute at large through the use of Technology, thereby making operations seamless. In his personal life, Tpl Osinowo enjoys travelling, rendering quality service, engaging in intellectual discourse, meeting new people, travelling the world, learning new things and spending time with his family.
